When a pinwheel is performing at its best, it is spinning uniformly and seemingly effortlessly.

• For this to occur, the pinwheel must be positioned to capture the wind, each blade needs to face the same direction, be adequately oiled and connected by a central pin.
• Likewise, organizations need leaders who ensure the organization (the pinwheel) is strategically positioned to effectively compete (capture the wind).
• Leadership (the central pin) must also attend to and align all organizational components (the blades).

Culture is the outcome of all these components and the levers used to strengthen or change company culture.
