As a business advisor, coach and culture hack, Sue Funkhouser has been collaborating with leaders to strengthen and evolve their company cultures, improve organizational and team effectiveness, and enhance leadership and management practices for over twelve years.
Sue specializes in working with founders to grow their companies by cultivating people, leadership and culture. She also facilitates custom off-sites and is the master facilitator for entrepreneur Chip Conley, author of PEAK: How Great Companies Get Their Mojo from Maslow, guiding companies to apply his proven approach for inspiring employees and customers.
She works with a variety of industries including technology, professional service, consumer goods, hospitality, healthcare and senior living, from Fortune 10 to start up.
Sue considers herself privileged to have a client roster that has included Nike, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Electronic Arts, Northern California Presbyterian Homes and Services, Treasury Wines, Houlihan Lokey, Qello, Milestone Internet Marketing and Platinum Performance.
Her professional career began in advertising where she rose in the ranks, eventually managing the Mattel account for Ogilvy and Mather as Vice President and Account Director. She earned her M.S. in Organization Development from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
Based in Los Angeles, Sue is on the Advisory Board of INROADS and speaks often to groups such as the Young Presidents’ Organization. When she is not working on her first book, Steering Company Culture during Growth, you can find her on a two mile swim in the Pacific.
